Imam Abi Hanifa's Takfir of the One Who Denies Allah is Above Heaven on Throne

The great muhaddith, Imam adh-Dhahabi, brought out the statement of Imam Abi Hanifa (rahimahullah) in which he apparently makes takfir of the one who denies Allah is above Heaven upon His Throne:
Abi Muti’ al-Hakam b. Abd Allah al-Balkhi says: I asked Aba Hanifa about the one who says “I do not know if my Lord is on Heaven or on Earth” so he said: “He has disbelieved, for Allah Most High says ‘Ar-Rahman ascended upon the Throne’ (Sura 20:5), and His Throne is above His Heavens.” So I said: And if he says: “I say He ascended upon the Throne but I do not know if the Throne is in Heaven or in the Earth” so he said: “He has disbelieved because he denied that He is in Heaven” (Mukhtasar al-Uluww p.136 #118; Minah Rawd al-Azhar fi Sharh al-Fiqh al-Akbar p.333):
